The founder
The designer Mariam Touray Sawaneh, founder of the MCouTuré brand in 2021, started creating her own bespoke pieces in her home sewing workshop after completing her bachelor's degree in fashion and textiles in 2020.
Mariam covers every part of the process, from designing and making patterns, finding materials and finishes, to making every garment. There she realized her own vision of design and started looking for its beauty and delicate embellishments and embroidery designs.
The MCouTuré brand specializes on different types of clothing, from West African luxury garments, evening gowns, prom dresses, partywear, modest wear, Aso-Ebi's and custom-made outfits for men and women.
